Bank Holiday Colour...

For those of you in the UK, happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

In true typical British Bank Holiday style, yesterday it rained... You know when you plan your outfit around a sunny day and then it changes...THAT!

By the time it got to getting ready for the girls lunch, it had brightened up a bit so I took a chance and went a little more 'summery'... that said, I didn't trust the weather enough to wear and leather soled shoes, they would have just soaked the water up and I'd have been wearing sponges by dusk!

The location, a beautiful (and deceptively large) restaurant called Cote Brasserie, in the heart of Clifton...FYI, Clifton is just outside of Bristol city centre, quite upmarket and packed full of quirky shops, restaurants, bars and boutiques (mental note to spend a day there with the AMEX soon!)...Back to Cote, I can highly recommend this place, anywhere that lists Kir Royale as a starter is worth a go!! Seriously, the food and service was fantastic! I'd recommend booking, even during the day at weekends as it proved very popular, I'm guessing due to the reasonably priced menu and great service...It's full of a wide mix of people too so anything goes... the gentleman sat next to us sipped espresso's in his khaki corduroys, mustard shoes, boat shoes, checked shirt and cravat whilst, scouring the daily papers...

The ladies that lunch and what we wore...;

A big thanks to Matt who gave us lifts and then patiently took our pics!

Summer outfit with mandatory blazer!

It was pure chance I had earrings that matched the new Mango top.., 'course I did!

Blazer - A couple of years old from Topshop... It is starting to look a bit tired but, I love it!

Flowery Trews - These were my first ever 'patterned pants' purchase from Topshop last year...They were a 'little' snugger than I recall...(must have put them on a hot wash...)

Vest - This is new, I picked this up from Mango a couple of weeks ago. It's a really light fabric (albeit it, too long and tucked in to my shoes) and has a low scoop back...I bought it to go with the 'Moootiful Zara Pants', you can buy here.

The Bag - A trusty Topshop clutch/should bag, bought before Christmas.

Shoes - Yeah, the ASOS ones again!!

I had planned on covering each outfit, sadly the photos I got weren't as good as I thought...The Prosecco snap shots somehow didn't look half as good this morning... No surprises there...

Kat's colour popping clutch from Accessorise...

Kirstie's new and totally versatile Zara shoes.. Buy here.

That's it from me right now, I have a lawn to mow and squats to do!! On that, I 'fell off' the 30 day challenge and finally got back on it yesterday, from the beginning!!...My lovely friend Kat (the owner of the Accessorise clutch) has stuck to it and there is a noticeable difference, she has totally motivated me!!

For now though...

Happy Bank Holiday!
