Colour In The Bag...

If, like me, you feel like your wardrobe needs a colour injection there is an easy (and cheaper) way of doing it than buying a tonne of bright clothes...the accessories!

Luckily for us, the monochrome/colour pop look is bang on now..Here's some of my recent outfits where I've added colour with bags..;

Leather Skirt - Fishtail leather skirt from Zara last year... I love this skirt but there never seemed to me a good time to wear it during the winter (???!!!), weirdly, it looks A LOT better without big ass thick tights! Expect to see more of this...

Top - Just a basic jersey top from Mango last year.

Shoes - ASOS (please don't get bored of them)

Clutch - ASOS yellow envelope clutch purchased last autumn... It has made a few appearances for the very reason it gives an outfit some colour...(I have gotten over the fact I felt like I was carrying a file...)

Statement Necklace - Zara... The one and only that I could wear EVERY day!! Featured here.

You may recall this outfit from a post last weekend...It was all about soothing the hangover and surviving Ikea ... The red bag was added for 1) Practicality 2) Some colour in what was a standard casj outfit... Kinda' made it look like I'd made some effort...The bag was from New Look back in January.

OK, this outfit was very recent too and featured in my 'Moootiful Zara Pants' post last weekend... Again, very monochrome... a day outfit with colour from the River Island bag and Zara jewelled belt..;

The Zara belt changes everything...

The black and white River Island dress bought back in March is proving to be a good buy, dress it up and down but, always add some colour...

Last up in my little selection is from my recent holiday to Cancun...(if you haven't caught up on the outfits, you can read here and then part dos, here)... This isn't actually a 'bag'... It was improvising with my travel documents file from M&S!

Here's some fab colour popping bags I've spotted that are out there right now...;

Accessorise..I love this, two of my most fave colours this season..

Both H&M...I really like the yellow messenger bag...Don't be surprised if this makes an appearance soon...

MCQ ALEXANDER MCQUEEN - Net-a-Porter

I spotted this Tory Burch bag on The Outnet this week... sold out (keeping it online has just taunted me)..*sad face*... I have checked back regularly but alas, nothing...
Sophie Hulme at Net-a-Porter

See by Chloe at Net-a-Porter
Michael Kors Selma Bags... I really love the coral, available at Net-a-Porter

River Island Fold Over Clutch

Zara 'Day Time" clutch...This will likely be mine too..

Zara clutch... Impractical for day, perfect for evenings, weddings etc

It's clear I'll be investing in some more colour popping bags, there's just too many to love here! Have you invested in any? Are you going to invest in any of these?

In my last post, I signed off by saying I had a lawn to mow... I've done it, I hated it...On the upside, the sun is high in the sky and I'm just about to open a bottle of something cold and sparkly to get me warmed up for tonight's gig..

Happy Bank Holiday Sunday y'all...

    (I wish!!)

    Love the way you played down the leather skirt with the striped top- and yeah, agreed- most pencil skirts seems to FAIL with tights. Dunno why?!?

    Hope you're having a lovely Bank Holiday
