POTW - Metallic Trousers...

This week's POTW is inspired by a pair of trousers I saw online....
So far, I haven't bought the ones I'd seen!! This is mainly due to after deciding I NEEDED the said trousers A.SAP, I found some similar (ish) that I'd already got and for once (and because I hadn't got time to hit the shops), restrained....
The metallic trouser is going to be a big hit this season, it's that time of year for a start where, due to Santa's pending arrival we all go a little bit more sparkly! I love that you can dress them right up or, go a little J.Crew (my style basis for this look) and just add a knit and heels.
I bought these ones from Topshop in January and to be perfectly honest, my jubilation was immense when I remembered they were tucked away in the wardrobe!...Shortly after I also recalled that they were a touch on the tight side (potential muffin top overhang looming) - Major result when they did up and fit without having to 'squat to loosen'...(we alllll know that one, tight?)

With the trouser situation sorted I moved on to the jumper, again I knew EXACTLY what look I was going for and after several desperate attempts sifting through the husbands pile of knits I struck a blank...HE.HAD.TO.HAVE.A.BLACK.KNIT.LOOSE.FITTING.ROUNDNECK.JUMPER...?!


Again, I reverted to my own wardrobe, convinced there was nothing at all that would... Hang on... Ohhh....What's this...? This jumper was also from Topshop a while ago (hence why it had dropped off my radar)..


Clothing sorted - Accessories...


Again, inspired by the J.Crew glamness that's buzzing around right now, I'd set my mind on some excessive ear bling so after a 10 minute round trip to a local New Look and £5.99 later...;

YES!! (not entirely sure what happened to my hair colour here...?!)

So this is the mental mood board that I had..;

Trousers - These ones are the Mango ones I love, buy here.

Knit - Plain black (let the trousers do the talking). There are loads around, this one is from H&M but no link I'm afraid.
Earrings - Mine were cheaper than a bag of chips (large portion and battered sausage..?) from New Look, these ones are also New Look, buy here.
Heels - Mine were from Kurt Geiger a few years ago (good investment), these are also KG and available here. **TIP** When investing in nude shoes, try and match your skin tone as nest as you can, they elongate your legs!

Clutch - Again, mine is an old Topshop box clutch and very plain. Dune have similar here.

Ignoring the jumper panic, this was an easy outfit for dinner with the girls last night!
