Coat Tales....
17 November 2013
I've become coat obsessive, there's no doubt!
Searching for 'the perfect' coat has been a teeny tiny bit stressful, there I said it!
I've seen loads I like, then just as I'm about to commit, there pops up another one! I think half the problem was I was trying to find a multi-trend/go-with-everything coat...That.Does.Not.Exist...(well, I haven't found it yet).
I bought this one the same day that the ASOS Coatigan arrived, the thing is, they are sooo different, the coatigan isn't a coat for starters...
I've been trying to source a leopard print coat for what feels like a lifetime (dramatic but true) and to be honest, most of the prints I've found have just drowned me in their size/complexity. I needed something a little more subtle and in keeping with my palette this season which, is edging towards grey tones as the days go by!
This leopard print beauty is super soft, cosy and versatile enough to be worn with battered jeans, leather skirts or for work annnnnnd whats more, it's priced at £60!!! Massively worth it's weight in brushed fur as it looks way more expensive, BINGO!
I spotted it when passing through House of Fraser the other night and did a sharp 180/double take, THIS.WAS.THE.ONE!
Today was the first outing of 'the coat', teamed with a denim shirt, new Primark petite (major result as I don't have to take the kitchen scissors to the bottom of them) skinny jeans, the Aldo boots featured here and an old faithful Topshop box bag..;
Buy the VILA coat here.
Is anyone else having coat dilemmas?
As a final FYI (and for anyone who has looked passed the coat), the grass is fake and dare I say, one of the best investments made this year!!
I like! Looks wicked on you x
