Meat, Music, Mayhem...

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen that I was asked to do an Instagram takeover this last weekend for I Heart Wines.

1) How amazing is that?! An absolute privilege.
2) An honour to snap and be allowed the artist direction for such a cool brand.
3) I really do Heart wine.

The event was the weekend of the Grillstock festival on home turf, right here on the Harbourside in Bristol. If you've never been (which I hadn't), then I can highly recommend that you do. The title of this post completely summarises the whole atmosphere - Meat, Music, Mayhem.

Right from when the gates opened, the air was filled with smoky flavours of BBQ'd feasts - even if you're not hungry, you will be. The main stage hosted acts such as Goldie Looking Chain (yes!!), regular eating competitions and cooking demos.

Without doubt, the revellers took the event seriously...There were stag and hen parties, meat lovers, music devotees and a whole load a fancy dress (personal favourite was the guys wearing inflatable horses, all day!).

Grillstock have several events throughout the summer over the UK, the next one is in London - details here.

The Saturday was absolutely roasting, the meat wasn't the only thing cooking. I spent most of my time hanging at the I Heart Wines retro camper.

The Sunday was overcast, the showers of rain landed on the previous days scorched arms with some welcome.
