The 12 Outfits Of Christmas...Part 2

How was it? What d'ya get? I hope you have all been spoilt rotten...I have!

Here we are, 2 days after the BIG day...for me, I'm wishing the elasticated waist trend would make a return like, now! One day, ONE day and I feel like I've expanded in every direction (clearly not height...Imagine if that helped?!)

Usually I plan outfits in advance (...I know..). This year, as we were hosting the big day, the importance of food/preparation took over and the whole outfit thing kinda' took a backseat *gasps*...

Here's what I've chucked together in the last couple of days...;

Christmas Eve Drinks...

I realise it's still daylight, being Christmas Eve makes it totally acceptable to hit up the local mid afternoon. My local is kinda' 'urban chic' which means that anything goes for dress code... For example.. I saw a Rudolph onesie amongst a sea of Christmas jumpers, satin jumpsuits and a scattering of sequins...

A similar theme to the look I wore for 'Dinner with Friends' in Part 1...

Knit - The Gap over sized jumper I picked up in the sale - there's no link for this but there were plenty in store!
Skirt - This lace Zara skirt is from the depths of the wardrobe and pulled out as a nod to the lingerie trend..I did try on the Zara cami/slip dresses to wear under the Gap knit but they didn't do anything for me. You can buy said dress here and the skirt here from Zara.
Boots - (Zzzzzz) The trusty Aldo boots, again!
Coat - Vila from HOF as featured here. (This was a great buy!)

Christmas Day...

In years gone by the Christmas Day outfit has been planned in advance, this year was a last minute dive into the wardrobe and I was pleased with the outcome..(until the skirt got too tight following 6 hours of continuous eating!)

Skirt - Those of you who have been reading for a while may recall this one from this post here - It was from Topshop and although less than a year old, has been a good wardrobe saviour on a couple of occasions!
Shirt - This is a recent buy from Zara - a sheer blouse with 'pleather' trims on the neck and cuffs..It's not showing on their website, may be in store still.
Belt - This belt is from ASOS and was a Christmas present about 2 years ago and has had so much wear! There are loads of these type of belts around and, in the sales!!

The reason my clothes are snug...

Boxing Day...

Comfort for a bracing walk....(and a chance to wear a couple of presents)...My new 'Celfie' tee and Topshop beanie!

Coat - Vila, as before.
Leather Skirt - As featured in Part 1, from H&M.
Celfie Tee - From Sincerely Jules (also my style crush, I want to be her!!)
Beanie - This one is from Topshop and a colour I've been hunting down for ages, Our Kid found it, bought it, wrapped it!
Boots - Sensible quilted Kurt Geiger biker boots from last winter.
Aviators - Michael Kors.
Bracelets - Bangle from & Other Stories and studded cuff from Next.

The Bristol Estuary... I love our view!

And finally...

Anyone else get a monkey fur hat...?! No? Just me?!

  1. Love all the outfits Karen, I had a busy run up to Christmas too and didn't really plan outfits apart from the addition of a new skirt. So delved into the wardrobe like yourself. Love the beanie- such a versatile colour, thinking I many need one that colour in my life! X
