Wednesday this week saw my work's Annual Sales and Marketing Conference in Birmingham. It's a time to reflect on the year gone and look forward to the plans ahead - all really exciting stuff!
Within the day there's time dedicated to 'Recognition' and I ermmm, well…. CLEANED UP!!
1 - Top performer in my Division..
2 - Won a trip to Lapland with the Global Elite (more on this in a moment)..
3 - Top performance for revenue against target and overall revenues..
4 - A trip to Vegas which, is only staying at the blooming Bellagio!!
5 - A bottle of bubbly for each award!
After the conference, there was a Recognition Dinner at La Tour Hotel in Birmingham…If you ever find yourself up that way and looking for a super cool place to rest your head, look no further! A stunning hotel that's just a stones throw from Selfridges!!
The dress code was smart so I opted for my new Topshop gingham cigarette trousers that I picked up at Oxford Circus last week.
Awful quality shot from my phone! |
Heels - I've had these Office red suede courts a few months and although not worn them much yet, thinking they are about to get their day!
Trousers - Topshop. I went for the regular length as the petite were fairly cropped and I wanted to wear them longer. Buy here.
Clutch - That Michael Kors Selma that I never put down!
Shirt - Purchased before Christmas from Zara - it's a staple item!
Necklace - I picked this up last week in Warehouse on the sale rail for £3!!!
Lapland…
**Major style meltdown in progress**
It's minus something stupid like 20-30 and the itinery says to pack 'mountain wear'!!! Granted, I have a lot of clothes however, the mountain wear section was non existent... until today!!
I've been scouring the web to find base layers etc and I was shocked on the prices… £50+ for a top that let's face it, it's unlikely to get worn again…That was until I found Mountain Warehouse!!
If you have to buy anything outdoorsy/mountain ready then you must head over here. Basically it's packed full of everything you need for a fraction of the price. My 3 base layers have arrived today and they are perfect, just not bank breakers!!
Today, in a last effort to invest in casual/mountain chic pieces, I settled on a Chanel lipstick!!
Surely one needs Chanel up a mountain! |
