We've had the snow and now, the promise of Spring is in the air.
I'm tired of chunky knits...I need Spring so bad however, the bank balance (and the fact that I'm not earning) means that I don't have the luxury of refreshing the entire walk-in with the new-in sections in every store.
The thrifter in me is thinking that the quickest and easiest way to do this, is by changing up the accessories. I'm going for modern twists on the classics with this post. Literally everything here I'm thinking will work with jeans and a white (*feel free to change this, obvs) tee.
The shoes...
A game changer, no doubts.

Who knew I needed white boots? I mean, most of us wore these the first time 'round. But the more I think about them, the more I have to try them with every pair of hacked hem because I'm so short customised raw edge jeans. Just add blazer and a tee.
More white..I'm drawn to it, soz. I've had these ones on my feet in-store. Do we go with these instead of the white boots as they'll have way more life over the Spring/Summer?
Classic black flat and a very on-trend shape. Simple and super affordable too. Jeans, tee, blazer combo again!
These pink ones...A tribute to the Balenciaga pumps and the most incredible colour. Pink is pretty much a neutral this season and these will keep the outfits modern, sharp and cool AF.
(Confession; I've had these at home once already and returned them...shoppers remorse is kicking in and they're back in the virtual shopping bag). I sized up as I'm not a fan of the heel overhang (notes to book pedi too).
Maybe slightly previous but, every season we need an easy to wear black sandal to just chuck on. These are wearable with aforementioned jeans and tee but perfect with the maxi/midi skirt and tee look too.
These flats, you've already seen, I'm wearing these a lot. They are 100% leather, comfy as hell (*unless you walk on cobbles/gravel) and the perfect seasonal switch up to the sneaks we have been living in.
The Bags...
Bags and shoes... Apart from your health (and a happy child), what's actually more important?!
Again, my wardrobe from a clothing point of you is probably (zero commitment though) going to remain fairly basic, the accessories are the one thing that'll bring the looks to life.
I'm not 100% sold on the transparent shopper and I'm not going to jump on the trend just yet (I have way too much crap in my bag to show the world). However, I predict a sell out and this is the high street version of the one the fash pack are clutching at Fashion Weeks. The rule for this if I plunge will be 'a bag in a bag'. Pointless?
We know how I love red and oh, floral for Spring...(Miranda Priestly voice)..This bag is full on Gucci vibes. It'll look amazing with that classic tee and jean combo I'm committing to living in.
Circle handle bags - I'M OBSESSED. Current count of this kind of bag is unknown! One more formal and everyday for work and the other, has floaty summer dress/beach vibes.
The wicker bag isn't going anywhere again this season. if you didn't commit last year then now is your time. I have one but if i didn't...
Oh look, another circle bag. I mean, this is stunning. Everything about it (including the price).
More white, more of a trend bag that will completely elevate your look. It's the bag you want for every evening when you're away on holiday..It's the one (and high street still).
It's circular...I wonder if I was to get assessed that this would say something about me? This one is a gorgeous dusky pink patent bag that... Oh Gawd >outfit idea as I type< All black, white boots and this. I mean, YES!!
For those following my recovery (*yawn), it's still ongoing and I feel like I've plateaued somewhat. I met with a very lovely Neuropsychiotrist last week and she has planned tests and then a plan to help get the grey matter working again. It's weird to hear you described as having an "acquired brain injury", very surreal. This time last year I was on Mat Leave and now here I am, forgetting how to do some simple things and massively lacking in the confidence I used to bathe in. It's all good, I'm still me and I'm here.
