A Week In Paradise...Part 1.

The daily view from the pool

I may be enjoying sabbatical life at the moment but still, a holiday was very much appreciated.

When we search for a holiday, 'he' finds them and I get all stressed/confused reading Trip Advisor comments... The rule of thumb for us is, if Destinology feature a resort, then we are all good - We have dealt with Clare for several years so can highly recommend her and the company. If you have any questions about the resorts they feature and pricing, you can contact Clare here (just say I sent you).

When we spotted the aqua waters of Daios Cove it looked more than perfect...Tranquil, 'luxury' in their name and crucially, just within the 4 hour fly and flop boundary.

Daios Cove has 260 generously sized rooms (with and without private pools) and 40 villas, all of which are bedded within the private cove. The sweeping Mediterranean views do not get tiring, ever.

The resort is spacious and in parts, looks similar to a Bond set circa Sean Connery times...The original rocks with discrete cable cars, take you up the face between the beach and reception 5 floors up.

Much of the week was spent soaking up sunshine by the infinity pool or dipping my tootsies into the Med. That's exactly what we ordered.

Early morning flights = Heightened caffeine levels and what may have been was the most ridiculous shoe choice for UK Security checks. My reasoning for the shoes is that they are the heaviest ones...

After a 4 hour flight, we literally flopped in to the back of the brand new Mercedes S Class sent by the hotel (organised by Clare @ Destinology) ...Luxury started right there and continued throughout the week.

The sweeping entrance to the hotel was pretty, minimal and completely unassuming. That's until you you walked through the glass doors in the distance and the view knocked the wind out of us.

I'm currently sifting through/editing/cringing at hundreds of outfit pics (I pull some daft faces). I will be writing a couple more posts this week. For now, I'll leave you now with deets of the 'What you wearing on the plane?' outfit and the first one of the holiday...

The Plane (*read plain)..;

Black formal joggers from H&M purchased earlier this year - buy similar here in the sale and also have a look at these ones too that have similar zip detail.

White chambray shirt (so much wear out of this!) - buy here.

Them black sandals from Topshop that sold out in the first week - similar here also in the sale (major bargain).

The view from our room...If you looked to the right, it was just Ocean...

First beer (not including the fluted bubbly welcome one)...;

This dress is very very old...like 7-8 years..? Find similar here ...Dress it up and dress it down, a holiday packing dream.

I can't recommend this resort enough...The food was incredible in all the restaurants, the place as clean as you could ever imagine and the staff, the staff were without doubt, the best we have ever come across throughout all of our travels.

The resort also hosted some pretty familiar faces whilst we were there too... A couple of sporting legends, some lesser known but, still recognisable and then, just some very fabulous people in general - All of which made perfect people watching fodder.

See you tomorrow for a load more of this...In the meantime, I've got about half a stone to shed before the morning and the washing machine is beeping at me.
