Navy + Black...

Navy and Black; Quite possibly one of my most favourite combinations of the moment!

I hadn't planned on featuring this outfit just yet as I've not had chance to get 'proper' shots (due to Mr G's current 'golfing' break). So why he selfishly knocks balls around The Riviera, my lovely friend stepped in to take these for Instgaram last night and after some love, I decided I had to share the new buys sooner rather than later... Apologies for the poor quality phone images!

Both the boots and dress are new buys from Zara (no surprises in this post!) and you can get them here and here

The boots are very different for me… I don't think I've ever owned anything that sits past the ankle, let alone over the knee! Whats more, THEY ARE FLAT (ish)!

The dress is a bit left field for me too… It's A-line, roll neck and completely lacking in any tailoring but I love it and know that I'll be whacking a long sleeved top under this in a few weeks too! What I really love about this dress (and what you can't see in these pics) is the blend of navy and black.. the main fabric is navy with black sides and roll neck detail, perfect!

I'm loving the Sixties styling right now… I mean, back comb my hair, layer on the eyeliner and call me happy!

TIP; When trying on the OTK boots make sure you take some socks… The warmer you get, the harder they are to take off.. I thought I was going to have to go down the …"I'll take them..Can I wear them?" route at one point!

Have you invested in OTK boots yet? What have you gone for? What's on the wish list?

  2. Obsessed with navy and black and I didn't own any navy till last year - I think it always used to make me think of school! It's a great, more sophisticated alternative to black - I love this outfit!
