Personal Style, Fashion and Lifestyle Blog.

Hi, I'm Karen...

...and I know I've been AWOL for a few weeks.

As I enter week four of being back in the corporate world, I'm starting to figure out which way is up, kinda. All brain power has been consumed reminding myself about what I do and how I do it, leaving  zero time for shopping (I know...) and, even less for blogging.

Yesterday was the first chance that I've had to get to the shops (totally disclaimer-ing all e-commerce activity). Soooo in a selfless pursuit to bring you a post, I fought against the 85% humidity (nobody likes a sweaty fringe) to stock up on AW transitional pieces.

Appreciating that it's still August, the investments are fairly low cost and safe yet, leading...I hate the idea of peaking too soon and missing potentially better versions of a trend in the next wave of rails. That said, my first two buys that I'm sharing with you will never be regretted, ever.

NEW - Buy the trench here.
NEW - wool breton (no link to buy) however,  another perfect one I've eyeballed here.
The flares were a SS15 investment that I'm thanking myself for...buy good alternatives here and here.
Sophie Hulme bag - similar here.
Round sunnies - buy similar here (bargain!!!)

The trench is described as 'short'... figures that it fits my petite frame just right then (I'm wearing small) and the colour is noted as burgundy but I'm calling it as raspberry.

The breton is a fairly thick fabric for August but, feels way more expensive than it was. I'm wearing a medium because a) I like the fit b) all the smalls on the shelf were caked in foundation/lipstick! The arms are crazy long on this top and are worn here with at least 3 roll ups.

I hope you're all good and have been doing plenty of shopping in my absence!

x
